

CHESTER M. PITTS II is a true testament to longevity, resiliency and durability. This stand out former offensive lineman turned Executive Consultant and Sports Analyst/Anchor for KPRC-Local 2 has been known for being the last man standing. Whether on the football field, an off the field endeavor or on camera, you can count on Chester to be there until the end. Chester, the oldest of four, was raised in Carson, California where he attended the California Academy of Mathematics and Science for high school. With education always being at the forefront, Chester attended San Diego State University. While bagging groceries, Chester was approached by friend and former teammate Ephraim Salam and encouraged to try-out for the football team. Chester tried out and walked on to the football team the spring semester of his freshman year. His hard work eventually earned him a starting spot his last two years on the team. Chester would go on to receive his degree in Public Administration and go on to do the unthinkable...play in the National Football League.
Chester was drafted by the newly formed Houston Texans in the 2nd round of the 2002 NFL Draft, becoming an original member of the Texans franchise. During his time with the Texans he started every game he played - the first player in the team’s history to accomplish this. After eight amazing seasons with the Texans, Chester played his last NFL season with the Seattle Seahawks in 2010.
In 2008, Chester became a highlight of Super Bowl XLII in an NFL Super Ad with Ephraim Salam which vaulted Chester to another level. Chester's charm and humorous personality caught the eye of comedian and talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres. Chester appeared on The Ellen Show in February 2008, a gig that turned into a long-standing relationship with the reigning Queen of Daytime. Chester interviewed A-listers on the red carpet at the 2008 Grammy Awards, hosted four housewives in his hometown of Houston, and toured Disneyworld, all as a correspondent to the Ellen DeGeneres Show. His hilarious segments earned him a place in the hearts of viewers across America. He was also one of the first offensive linemen to grace the set of Fox’s’ “The Best Damn Sports Show Period”. Chester has been a guest on over 50 radio shows, including Fox Sports Radio, and Sports Radio 610 proving he is no amateur in the world of media.
Chester actively demonstrates a leadership role in several organizations that assist youth, including the Texas Children’s Hospital, the Shriners Hospitals for Children and the YMCA of Greater Houston. To further his passion for helping others in his community, he created The Chester Pitts Charitable Foundation. Having a passion for the arts, Chester started the foundation in 2010 with his college sweetheart and wife, LaToya, as a response to cutbacks of in-school arts programs
In addition to being a community advocate, Chester also serves as Executive Consultant of ZT Wealth, helping individuals save and grow their money. He is also a radio and television Sports Analyst, a Houston Texan Ambassador and currently a candidate for an MBA at George Washington University. Chester currently serves on the board of Houston Crime Stoppers, Altus Foundation and the Houston Symphony. With all the titles, the most important title Chester takes on is Father. Chester loves being Dad to his 8-yr old son, Chester “Champ” M. Pitts III, daughters 17-yr-old daughter Alanna Pitts and new edition to the family, Charlotte Madelyn Pitts.
